Jef Elise Barbara will release a new 7" single, Sexe Machin / Sex Machine on May 13, 2016. Their first physical release since 2013's Soft To The Touch sees the Montreal-based pop/r&b singer-songwriter stepping out with a slinky 2-song EP that combines elements of brazen disco-funk, late 70s underground, and downtown no wave.
Sexe Machin / Sex Machine was created in transcontinental collaboration with reclusive Toulouse-based bedroom producer Pieuvre and recorded at Montreal's Bottle Garden studio. The b-side features a re-interpretation of soft-pop outsider Michael Angelo's "Sorcerer's Delight" with Freelove Fenner sitting in as backing band.
